About Lauren
Lauren Adamson is a creative, energetic, and experienced instructional designer with a passion for e-learning. She holds two master's degrees related to education, adult learning theories, and instructional systems design, the first being an MA in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) and the second in Instructional Design and Technology. She has spent the last eight years working as an instructional designer, following three years of experience as a classroom ESL instructor at the university level.
As an Instructional Designer, she worked client-side developing storyboards in collaboration with a variety of clients, stakeholders, and Subject Matter Experts to create one-of-a-kind learning experiences that align with key learning objectives relevant to the company's goals. She has extensive experience bringing those scripts to life using a variety of programs such as Articulate Storyline 360, Adobe Captivate, and Adobe After Effects for video.
In addition to working as an Instructional Designer and E-Learning Developer, she managed her company's website, social media presence on FaceBook and LinkedIn, and was also the administrator for their in-house LMS (Inquisiq).
Her years as an ESL instructor taught her the how to break down complex information into manageable, learnable pieces, with an emphasis on relevant, authentic practice and reinforcement.
She currently resides in New Jersey with her husband, two children, and two cats.
